Beverley Cox Biography

New Zealander, born in a hotel on the banks of the Whanganui River. Growing up surrounded by the rich indigenous bush. A stark contrast to attending the Quaker school "Friends". Further education at Wanganui Girls College before moving to Christchurch to study Graphic Design at Canterbury. With a working background in Silk Screening, Textile Design and Ceramics. Cox has developed her own unique creative approach to a love affair with Painting. Cox has lived and worked in the Hokianga for over twenty years and draws much of her inspiration from the beautiful native and introduced flora.
